Store Design & Development Project Manager
Hoofddorp, NH, NL, 2132 HZ
At Crocs, Inc., every career offers a chance to make a real impact. No two journeys look the same. And that's exactly how we like it. Whether you’re welcoming customers into our stores, collaborating with global teams at our headquarters, or keeping operations moving at our distribution centers, your impact is real and valued. At Crocs, Inc. you’re not expected to fit a mold. You’re encouraged to break it and create something better.
Overview
As a Project Manager, Store Design & Development at Crocs, you’ll play an equal role in shaping the design and delivery of our retail footprint across EMEALA. You’ll translate brand direction and commercial briefs into compelling, consumer-ready environments, while managing the people, budgets, timelines, and technical requirements needed to bring new stores, remodels, wholesale spaces, and strategic projects to life.
Embedded in the Retail organization and reporting to the Store Design & Development Manager, you’ll collaborate with a wide network of stakeholders, including Real Estate, Retail Operations, VM, Marketing, IT, Finance, and external design and construction partners. The role combines hands-on design development and 3D visualisation with disciplined project management from concept through completion.
If you are equally comfortable developing a design concept, building a clear 3D design proposal, and steering a complex project to the finish line, this role gives you the opportunity to elevate our design capability while ensuring projects are delivered with precision, consistency, and impact.
What You'll Do
- Actively participate in shaping and evolving store design concepts, layouts, fixture applications, and customer journeys in line with Crocs brand standards and commercial objectives.
- Produce and review 2D and 3D design materials, including space plans, visualisations, design intent packages, presentations, and technical drawing mark-ups.
- Translate global design direction into locally relevant solutions across owned retail, wholesale, and distributor environments, protecting design intent while responding to site and market needs.
- Partner with VM, Marketing, Retail Operations, Real Estate, and global design teams to ensure the physical environment, product presentation, and brand experience work together cohesively.
- Review design submissions from architects, partners, and vendors, provide clear creative and technical feedback, and drive design quality through approvals.
- Lead store development projects from concept to completion, managing scope, programme, budget, risks, approvals, and key milestones.
- Manage external partners, including architects, general contractors, landlords, consultants, and suppliers, to secure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, contracts, budgets, cost estimates, invoices, and approvals, while identifying value-engineering opportunities that do not compromise the design intent.
- Communicate project progress, decisions, risks, and dependencies clearly to internal stakeholders and senior partners.
- Coordinate store handover and operational readiness, and continuously improve design and delivery processes to increase quality, efficiency, and scalability.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- BS or BA in architecture, interior design, retail design, construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience combining retail design, store development, retail construction, or project management.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating retail or branded-environment design, space planning, 3D visualisation, and the ability to translate concepts into executable solutions.
- Strong proficiency in 3D and design software such as SketchUp, Enscape, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent tools.
- Solid knowledge of construction processes, permitting, fit-out, technical documentation, budgets, timelines, and vendor management.
- Demonstrated project management capability, with the ability to manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, approvals, and multiple stakeholders.
- Highly organised and able to balance creative development with the disciplined management of multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to give clear design direction and influence cross-functional and external partners
